Hi! I’m Shelley from Northern Va. As a child I had a love of Disney, I can remember watching the Color of Magic, the Mickey Mouse Club and the “classic” cartoons that leave a special memory in my life.
The year 2005 was my 1st visit to Disney, and I was able to enjoy this magical experience with my husband and 2 daughters. As a mom of girls with a 10yr age gap I know what it is like to plan a vacation having a teen and toddler.
The memories are priceless that I have of my girl’s faces when we stepped on Main St. and seeing Cinderella’s Castle for the first time, the personal character meets and even celebrating a special event in a restaurant that gives so much attention to you. This trip opened my heart to what Disney is all about, magic, dreams and memories that can come true and most of all I found that little girl inside me that got lost in being an adult.
After our 1st trip I realized that this was not going to a be a once in a life time vacation and since then we have become Disney Vacation Club members and we have made so many memories from character meets, to the rides, the pools, dining at different locations, shows to fireworks and just resort touring, with being DVC owners we have stayed at DVC resorts, but we have also stayed at moderate and value resorts to give us a full experience of the different level of the resorts.
I have even booked a girl’s only weekends to visit with friends to experience different seasons in Walt Disney World.
We are Annual Pass holders; I am a member of D23. With being inserted into the Disney community I stay current with all events of Disney.
My family has a dream to move to FL in the next year or two to be closer to the magic, so I can learn even more about the Magic of Disney makes. I hope to work for Disney, for now I enjoy helping others to create magical vacations.
