As a wife, mother, and grandmother, there are many things that take priority in my life and since I "grew up Disney", that has always been a priority too. Walt Disney World has been in my life since I was three when the Magic Kingdom opened. My grandmother lived an hour away so it was super easy for us to get there. Every time we visited her, I wanted to know if we were going this time--of course we were! As much as Walt Disney World has been a part of my life, I wanted that for family also.
We began taking our children when they were very small and haven't stopped yet. Now that they are 21 and 20, they still "get" that I love Disney World and my husband knows I am truly in my happy place when I am there. We are now starting on the next generation, enjoying the wonder of Walt Disney World through the eyes of our grandchildren, the youngest of who will enjoy his second birthday there very soon (his fourth trip).
I have taken over 200 trips to Walt Disney World and my children have been over 100 times. I have loved taking them at all ages and experiencing everything through their eyes. There has never been a time when a Disney trip wasn't a good idea or they weren't at a great age. Even through those teenage years when they should be "too cool" to have fun at Disney World, they were still having fun (but I wasn't supposed to notice that part!).
We have stayed at almost all Walt Disney World resorts, and have eaten at most of the restaurants. We have favorite resorts in each resort type, but we still try to explore new resorts often and find all those wonderful nooks of hidden fun at each one. We also have favorite restaurants that no trip would be complete without enjoying a meal there. Even though we have been many times, there is always something new and different to explore and that is definitely part of the magic and wonder of Walt Disney World.
If you are thinking of planning a Disney trip, I would be happy to assist you with your planning. If I don't know the answer, I will certainly get it for you. My goal is to make sure you have everything you need to make your trip to a Disney property the magical trip that you want it to be. Please contact me if I can be of assistance.
"I think what I want Disneyland to be most of all is a happy place–a
place where adults and children can experience together some of the wonders of life, of adventure, and feel better because of it."
